Half way in already! I should have posted this list a few weeks ago but I didn’t, I thought about doing a final one with the best books but obviously decided against it and here we are. I’m extremely honored and grateful to have read some amazing books already and I look forward to the rest of the year ♥
In no particular order, here are the 10 books I’ve read so far in 2015!
TRUE LOVE WAY — In a unique and familiar way, Mary Elizabeth creates the sweetest and realest story that starts from a very young age and develops with time. Poetic and raw writing that can become addictive and unique expressions the readers grow to love, this story gave me a huge book hangover, I can’t even begin to list the feels, ALL THE FEELS!
“Don’t you get it Dillon? There’s a reason why you’re my only friend. Why haven’t you figured this out yet?”
LAST HIT: RELOADED — This is what I love about reading, opening a book because you’re curious to see how these two characters have developed and you kinda miss them and then all of a sudden the book comes to life and it sucks you into the story and you read slower than possible cause you don’t want it to end. Ever.
“Who has made you unhappy?” I ask immediately. Looking around I see only average students. Have any of them insulted her? I will demand they apologize.
BY ANY OTHER NAME — If there’s one person that can write a mean mafia book is Jessica Mae freaking Darhower; she knows how to deliver a good story that will make you laugh and swoon and it will definitely shock you and make you cry in equal measure! I absolutely loved about this story, the attention to details and the unbelievably raw feel of the mafia world.
“I don’t do things just because they’re easy. Despite what you might think, I don’t have sinister intentions. I risk coming here, because one of us has to take that risk. One of us has to be willing to take the chance.”
THOUGHTFUL — Kellan Kyle’s POV, I love him, I just love him but this book was a surprise! Kellan is such a sweetheart and his story is just heartbreaking! I loved the fact that this wasn’t all rainbows and sunshine, it was hard to read at times but I can’t even describe how much I missed Kellan!
“I love you. I would do it all over again if I needed to. I’d go back to the beginning for you.”
NEED — This is one of those books! I totally requested it cause I love everything K.I. Lynn writes, so I start reading it, just the first couple of chapters, I told myself, let’s see if it’s good. And that was it. HOOKED. I love forbidden love stories, especially those that are well-written and with lots of depth to back it up, this one was just perfect!
I’m her man. She’s my girl. I’m coming for her, whether she wants me to or not.
SWEET HOPE — I have to say, reading this series from the start, I will miss this series so much and I hold it very close to my heart, from the first book till the last one ♥ this was the best wrap up and the most heartwarming HEA I could’ve imagined, it was tearful like the rest of the series of course but never once did I found myself not liking it, not a single page, nothing! The series fans will love it♥ (as did I!)
“You are my hope, Ally. You’re every hope I’ve ever dared to have… la mia luce.”
AIMEE AND THE HEARTTHROB — I was lucky enough to get an ARC from netgalley and this book turned out to be amazing! I found it very unique and cute and not at all tiring, in fact refreshing in a way that totally suited the age. Young Adult all the way ♥
“I don’t know if I’d call it a crush,” he finally said. “It’s more like, I haven’t been able to stop thinking about you for the past five days. When I’m in a band meeting…” He kissed her eyebrow. “When I’m onstage.” He kissed the bridge of her nose. “When I’m trying to bloody fall asleep at night, that’s the worst. And the best.”
THE SHADOWS — There’s always a BDB book on my lists, thankfully and even though this was more about the Shadows than the brothers, it was still amazing! How can I not love a book from this series, I just can’t!
Rhage cleared his throat. “My lord and ruler, Wrath, son of Wrath, blooded father of Wrath, I present you with Throe, Piece of Shit.”
THE DEAL — Hands down adored this book so much, I love it when books surprise me like this one did; I told myself I’d just read the first chapter and see if I can get into it, next thing I know I’m flying through the pages while keeping an eye on the page count, I wanted to devour it but at the same time I wanted it to last for days, months!
“I never expected her. Sometimes people sneak up on you and suddenly you don’t know you ever lived without them.”
KING — This is a perfectly crafted anti-hero book with lots of twists. It makes you wonder, what is happening, why is it happening and it slowly answers those questions in a flawless way that feels effortless, like watching a story happen before your eyes (it goes without saying this is unputdownable) till the end.
“We met on the night I decided to sell myself for a hot meal and a place to sleep.”
So, there you have it, I love every single one of these books and I hope your year was just as full of wonderful reads ♥
