Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Books People Have Been Telling Me That I MUST Read

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature meme hosted by the Broke and the Bookish. Every week they post a new top ten list and everyone is welcome to join.

After a couple of TTTs that I missed, I’m baaaack! This week’s Top Ten is about those books that people have been telling me I MUST read because I’ll love it as much as them or because they’re so me. Whatever that means…

As you can see, the first thing that came to mind when I saw this week’s TTT was, of course, Colleen Hoover.

Not because I have anything against her books – in fact I have read two of them, Hopeless and Maybe Someday – I liked the latter more than the former but anyway. My book buddy Helena is to blame for CH being on my list. She is her biggest fan – and if she is not and there is another person out there that is even a bigger fan of CH then I never want to meet that person. Even. No, I’m not kidding. Ever.

See? She totally is!

I’ll get around to read another one of her books, probably Ugly Love since that book is everywhere. Don’t kill me, Helena! Love you ♥

John Green was everywhere when TFIOS came out and then when the movie came out and it kind of made me not want to read it because everyone was reading it and crying and I was so not in the mood to cry like a baby. And then I read it. The rest of his books have been rec’d multuple times and again, he is sort of like CH when it comes to books. Sorry not sorry.

Gillian Flynn is actually the only person on the list whose books I want to read but they scare the hell out of me, they just look so deep and awesome and creepy I know they’ll be like a scary movie that will haunt my nights for maybe a decade. So, I’ll wait for the movie and I might be peeking out from behind my fingers, might.

Jojo Moyes’s Me Before You is that book. It is everywhere and everyone is reading it so the hype is holding me back.

There you have it, my list of all – more than ten but deal with it – books that have been rec’d enough times to make me not want to read them, so if you want your friends to read a book you loooved take notes and don’t rec it constantly.

What about your books, you know, those books?

Until next time!
